It is the 87th birth anniversary of the 'missile man of India', Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. Kalam served as 11th President of India from 2002-07 and engineered India’s first satellite launch vehicle, the Agni and Prithvi missiles and the Pokhran-II nuclear tests; contributions that put India on the world map of space and nuclear accomplishments.
