Google on Friday marked the 131st birth anniversary of Lucy Wills, an English haematologist who was responsible for the creation of a prenatal vitamin that helps prevent birth defects. In 1928, Wills moved to India and began her seminal research work on macrocytic anaemia in pregnancy, an ailment common among poor women working in the textile industry.
